Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 22, 2025

Gorgen EV Charging Installations is committed to protecting the information you share with us. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a California resident.

1. Information We Collect

We collect personal information only when you voluntarily submit it through our contact form or communicate with us directly. The categories of information we may collect include:

  • Name — First and last name of the contact person or decision maker
  • Email address — Used to respond to your inquiry and send project-related communications
  • Phone number — Used to schedule site visits or follow-up calls
  • Company or organization name — Property management company, HOA, or business name
  • Property details — Information about the property you describe in your message (address, number of units, property type)

We do not collect payment information, Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, or any sensitive personal information as defined under California law. We do not use cookies for tracking, run advertising pixels, or collect behavioral data.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide solely for the following business purposes:

  • Responding to your quote request, inquiry, or site assessment request
  • Scheduling site visits, discovery calls, or follow-up consultations
  • Delivering written site assessment reports and project proposals
  • Coordinating project logistics if you proceed with an installation
  • Communicating project status, permit timelines, and installation schedules

We do not use your information for unsolicited marketing. We do not add you to mailing lists without your explicit consent. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

3. How We Share Your Information

We share your information only in limited circumstances necessary to deliver our services:

  • Resend (email delivery): Contact form submissions are transmitted and delivered using Resend, a transactional email service. Your information passes through Resend's infrastructure solely for delivery purposes. Resend is subject to its own privacy policy and does not use your data for advertising or independent commercial purposes.
  • Licensed subcontractors: On projects that involve specialized trades (e.g., trenching, utility coordination, panel upgrades), we may share relevant project details — including the contact name and property address — with licensed subcontractors working under our direction. These parties receive only the minimum information required to perform their scope of work.
  • Legal compliance: We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Gorgen EV Charging Installations or others.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with data brokers, advertising networks, or social media platforms.

4. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) grant you the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right to Know: You have the right to request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources of that information, the business or commercial purposes for collection, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
  • Right to Delete: You have the right to request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions permitted by law.
  • Right to Correct: You have the right to request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing: We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. No opt-out is required, but you may request confirmation at any time.
  • Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CPRA.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your California privacy rights. Exercising your rights will not affect your ability to receive a site assessment or project quote.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@gorgenevcharging.com. We will respond within 45 days as required by California law. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.

5. Data Retention

We retain contact form submissions and associated project records for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, including for the duration of any active project relationship, and thereafter as required for legal, tax, and business record-keeping purposes.

For inquiries that do not proceed to an active project, we retain contact information for a reasonable period to allow for follow-up, typically no longer than two years from the date of initial contact, after which records are deleted or anonymized.

You may request deletion of your information at any time by contacting us directly. We will honor deletion requests consistent with our CCPA/CPRA obligations and any applicable legal retention requirements.

6. Security

We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the personal information you share with us. Contact form submissions are transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. We limit access to personal information to staff and service providers who need it to perform their functions.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we use commercially reasonable practices to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of our website or services following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
